Cowslip Tea

Cowslip tea contains loose flowers of Primula veris.  It has a sweet and savoury taste that delights most tea connoisseurs. Cowslip tea is often used as a herbal remedy for sore throats and sinuses. But you should drink it for the calming effect it creates. A moment from the idyllic Nordic summer is captured in each individual Cowslip flower.

Unlike most commercial teas, Plükt tea products contain full inflorescences and leaves, preserving the plants’ natural characteristics. Plükt teas are hand-picked in wild Nordic meadows and forests where herbs are more concentrated than farmed fields. Once gathered, the leaves are dried using wind and solar energy.

Harvesting

All Plükt tea herbs and flowers are hand-picked from certified organic wild meadows, forests, and grasslands.  During the annual harvesting season, which runs from early May to late September, more than 30 family-owned farms collaborate with the Plükt team to prepare and collect wild herbs.  While the majority of the herbs are still sourced from certified organic zones in Latvia, more farming estates from Estonia and Finland are joining the Plükt cooperative. Together with its partners, Plükt continues to raise awareness about biodiversity conservation and sustainable agriculture.

Packaging

Plükt pyramid tea bags are made entirely of plant fiber. These bags decompose in 30-60 days. As a result, you can enjoy your favourite tea without fear of ingesting harmful plastic particles.

Impact

Plükt is possibly the most sustainable tea out there. All tea leaves and flowers are wild grown and certified organic. Plükt collaborates with over 20 local farmers in Latvia in sourcing and processing high-quality tea. Additionally, what is most commendable about Plükt is the brand’s strict zero-plastic policy.

For hectic mornings and tranquil evenings.

Hailing from the deep forests of Prauleina in Latvia, PLÜKT is a purveyor of specialty herbal teas. The mother-daughter team behind the brand have as their mission to enhance the daily tea ritual by offering the most sustainable tea in the market. All Plükt herbs are hand-picked from wildlife certified-organic meadows and forests in Northern Europe. The company sources the herbs from about 20 certified-organic farms and owners of certified-organic fields.

Plükt is the first brand to offer herbal tea served in plant-based pyramid tea bags which biodegrade within 30-60 days. A mix of different plant starches can be found in the packaging material. While 96% of teacups brewed worldwide contain plastic particles, all Plükt products are completely free from plastics. Connoisseurs of high-quality herbal teas will find the PLÜKT offerings especially rewarding. If taste is not enough, PLÜKT teas also offer the ultimate aesthetic experience with Nordic inspired minimalistic designs.
