This legendary honey-like herb blossoms only once a year for an average of seven days. It continues to grow even during rainfall, leaving little time to harvest it. Linden tea must therefore be savoured with every sip.
Unlike most commercial teas, Plükt tea products contain full inflorescences and leaves, preserving the plants’ natural characteristics. Plükt teas are hand-picked in wild Nordic meadows and forests where herbs are more concentrated than farmed fields. Once gathered, the leaves are dried using wind and solar energy.
A moment of truly beautiful and wild Nordic summer is captured in each and every herb.
Harvesting
All Plükt tea herbs and flowers are hand-picked from certified organic wild meadows, forests, and grasslands. During the annual harvesting season, which runs from early May to late September, more than 30 family-owned farms collaborate with the Plükt team to prepare and collect wild herbs. While the majority of the herbs are still sourced from certified organic zones in Latvia, more farming estates from Estonia and Finland are joining the Plükt cooperative. Together with its partners, Plükt continues to raise awareness about biodiversity conservation and sustainable agriculture.
Packaging
Plükt pyramid tea bags are made entirely of plant fiber. These bags decompose in 30-60 days. As a result, you can enjoy your favourite tea without fear of ingesting harmful plastic particles.
